You’re trying to modify the Homepage with Elementor but you get this error message: “Sorry, the content area was not found in your page. You must call the_content function in the current template, in order for Elementor to work on this page“.
That simply means you need to enable Elementor on your Homepage. About Elementor, the Main Content Block is the Elementor block. Here are the steps to enable it:
- Browse to Appearance > Customize > Homepage > Homepage Order
- You can see all the blocks listed. Find the Main Content Block label
- Click on the eye on the left of the label. It needs to be black, not grayed out (see the second picture).
- Click on Publish (blue button at the top of the sidebar) to save the changes.
You can now add content to your homepage using Elementor.
